Our qualified Turkish Seafarers, of all Ranks, have completed our rigorous in-house training scheme of ISM CODE requirements, to be eligible for  assignment to our clients’ vessels. All candidates have proper documentation conforming with the requirements of International Convention of Standards of Training Certification and Watch Keeping (STCW- 95) plus valid, up to date, medical certificates.

Prudent owners require a very competent and reliable crew, fully capable of protecting and maintaining their investment, even enhancing it with diligent repair and maintenance. We  can offer you such a crew, at a very competitive cost, which has many advantages over alternative nationalities in crucial areas.

We know that, though important, price is not the primary consideration. Safety, reliability and competence come first, our alternative meets those requirements and does so whilst minimizing costs.

• Reliability.
  Turkish officers and ratings are fiercely loyal to their owners. This in part stems from their cultural background but is also because, without exception, they have undergone military training and been subjected to the discipline that such training entails. As all owners employing Turkish crew will confirm the vast majority of their crews are long term ones, returning to the same or other Company vessels after leave.

• Self-Reliance.
  Though well known and valued for their ability to follow orders that does not mean that they are incapable of independent action, when it is called for. On the contrary, they have a reputation for innovation and the ability to ably contain any unusual circumstances until advice can be sought from the Owners.

• Commercial Awareness
  Its virtually impossible to find Professional Masters who are better versed in the ins and outs of commercial practice and documentation. As all owners know to their cost, Masters and crews who are not up to speed in this regard and not intimately familiar with maritime and International law can cause owners great loss.

• Repatriation
  Turkish crew can often conveniently be rotated in or very close to their home port, (Istanbul) which is on a major trade route.

• Incidentals
  All Turkish seafarers pride themselves on their economy with stores and supplies. Their upbringing and culture makes them thrifty. When taken in conjunction with their wage scale and usual provision rate of 6 usd p/m/p/d it means that they are among the most cost effective on the market.

All nationalities have pros and cons associated with them. We do not claim our alternative is perfect, just that it is the best all round, efficient and competent, value for money available in the market.
